Library
The St. Thomas Historical Trust is home to a small but growing library of rare and unique books, catalogues, and maps generously donated over the years. The collection features historical texts, self-published works by Caribbean authors, local newspaper archives, and other materials that help tell the story of St. Thomas and the wider Caribbean. Visitors are welcome to browse the collection at their leisure.
Many titles are also available online at no cost through Internet Archive, Google Books, and Project Gutenberg and Library Thing where public-domain photos, books and artwork can be explored anytime, anywhere.
If a subject sparks your curiosity, we invite you to visit the museum to read, research, or spend time with the materials in person. To help preserve these historical resources, items are available for on-site use only. Photography is welcome.
